The Kubota KX085-5 is a next-generation 8-ton compact excavator engineered to deliver exceptional power, precision, and operator comfort across demanding construction, landscaping, utility, demolition, and earthmoving applications. Powered by Kubota’s Stage V-compliant V3307 direct injection diesel engine, the machine produces 66.6 PS (49.0 kW) while maintaining excellent fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. The integrated Common Rail System (CRS) and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) work together with Kubota’s automatic regeneration system to minimise maintenance interruptions and ensure long-term reliability. Features such as Auto Idling and Auto Engine Stop further reduce fuel consumption, operating costs, and unnecessary engine wear during downtime.

At the core of the KX085-5’s performance is Kubota’s advanced two-pump load-sensing hydraulic system. This intelligent system automatically adjusts hydraulic oil flow based on operator input and load demand, resulting in smoother simultaneous movements, greater controllability, and improved fuel economy. Whether operating the boom, bucket, travel functions, or hydraulic attachments simultaneously, the machine maintains smooth and responsive performance. Two proportional auxiliary hydraulic circuits with adjustable maximum oil flow allow quick setup for a wide range of powered attachments such as breakers, augers, grapples, and brush cutters directly from the in-cab digital display.

The excavator is available in both mono boom and optional two-piece boom configurations. The two-piece boom version dramatically expands the machine’s working range, allowing operators to dig closer to the machine, reach higher for loading trucks, and perform efficient vertical excavation in confined spaces. Standard features include a rear-view camera, anti-drop boom and arm safety valves, overload warning system, high-visibility seat belt with alert function, LED work lights, and Kubota’s anti-theft immobiliser system. Routine maintenance is simplified through the triple-opening bonnet design, grouped service points, and easy-access filters and components, reducing downtime and making daily inspections faster and easier.
