Last weekend we teamed up with a ground investigation company working at a prestigious HQ in Swindon, Wiltshire. They were called in by their client to test the suitability of a car park prior to erecting some temporary offices. To do this, they undertook a series of pressure plate tests that measure the compression strength of the sub-base (in this case the tarmac).

This test involves very sensitive measuring equipment being put under pressure against a counterweight, in this case, our 13-tonne excavator, and reading the deflection of the ground.

Tiger Plant was able to offer a turnkey solution for our client in offering delivery & collection of a machine on the clients time scale, complete with an operator within a tight frame.
